The 24 February 2023 Friday Finds are here with a new Author & Blogger of the Week, Fresh picks of books, recipes, & crafts, plus much more!

Hello, my friends & welcome to the 24 February 2023 Fun!

How are you doing? Life is crazy busy here, even though we are currently in quarantine for a positive covid test. Luckily, I can read, review, blog, and craft from the comfort of home. Living in the vast rural splendor, we can also be outside all we want without worrying about running into neighbors, etc. I’m serial testing every few days to ensure I am not positive myself…I have errands to run soon. Important stuff like…my library card expired, and you must renew in person. Someday, they may get up to speed with online renewals, etc. I love using the Libby App to download digital and audiobooks. Maybe a grocery/med pickup too.

I hope you enjoy this week’s post, and be sure you leave a comment below voting for your favorite find of the week.

Peace & Love

Daisy Jones and the Six book cover

Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • OVER ONE MILLION COPIES SOLD! A gripping novel about the whirlwind rise of an iconic 1970s rock group and their beautiful lead singer, revealing the mystery behind their infamous breakup—from the author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Malibu Rising, and Carrie Soto Is Back.

Daisy is a girl coming of age in L.A. in the late sixties, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock ’n’ roll she loves most. By the time she’s twenty, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things.

You might have noticed that I frequently start my recipe section with desserts. That is because not only do I have a sweet tooth, but I’m a firm believer in”Life is Short, Eat Dessert First!” Well, I don’t usually practice that, but it makes a great motto. I hope you enjoy this week’s picks.

    • I have a bit of sniffles, but that’s normal for me. I’m still testing negative 10 days after exposure, so I’m great.. I think

  1. Gina – sounds like a brutal week between your being ill with Covid, combating insurance nightmares and investigating the odd nocturnal activities around you. Be safe and be well, my friend!

    • Thanks Mim…I’m still testing negative. So fingers crossed it stays that way. Things are definitely looking up. It helps that the sun is shining bright. What are your plans this weekend?

  2. Sorry about the Covid. Thankful for reading, reviewing, and blogging because we can always keep busy!
