Tribbs was just a kitten when his human family abandoned him. His mom did her best to her best to find food and shelter for the two of them, but the streets are no place for a kitten! Finding their way into foster care, the two are soon separated when his mom is adopted. The little kitten is growing up fast, will Tribbs ever find his forever home?
His happy ending arrives when his foster mom takes him to a pet adoption event, and he finds a family of his own. He settles in and soon becomes a welcoming committee of one for each new cat, for Tribbs has learned that "handsome is as handsome does."
A touching story that will capture the hearts of cat lovers of all ages!

My review: Tribbs, The Very Handsome Cat by Faye Rapoport DesPres

Tribbs, The Very Handsome Cat, is a delightful book for children and adults. It introduces the concept of rescue pets, as well as briefly touching on the tragedy of abandoned pets.

The story is the right length for holding a toddler’s attention. It gets the message across without becoming overly preachy.

Laurel McKinstry Petersen’s illustrations are vivid, beautiful, and add significantly to the overall enjoyment of the story.

I’m sure the book will become a favorite of youngsters everywhere. It’s a story that introduces important concepts to children, and perhaps will make an adult think twice before abandoning a pet.
