Excerpt from Papa the Shoemaker

“On Saturday, Papa leaves the shoes to rest in the shoe last for the whole day.

Papa tells me, “Giving the time and space needed shows respect. When facing any situation, it is best to take a moment and breathe, then think things over.”

Excerpt provided by the author/publisher for use in this post.

My thoughts on Papa the Shoemaker

Papa the Shoemaker book cover image

Papa the Shoemaker is another fun story from this delightful writing team. Today we have a visit with William, whose father is a shoemaker.

We learn a bit about the lost art of shoemaking and a lot of life lessons for little ones.

Whether is about planning for the future, executing a plan, or even making the best of mistakes, William absorbs these lessons from his well-loved Papa. I think many adults could use these lessons as well as children.

The illustrations are once again colorful, well-drawn, and tell a bit of a story all on their own.

I recommend this darling little book to all caretakers of children. It would be a welcome addition to any home, school, or church library.

I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

Kyra Kalweit and Dayán Mantecón Roldán author profile image

Having decided to change careers as professional dance instructors and competitors, Kyra Kalweit and Dayán Mantecón Roldán completed a yoga teacher training and strategic intervention life-coaching certification and together embarked on the journey of self-discovery by following a calling from deep inside their hearts.

Inspired by the messages from numerous teachers of spirituality and personal growth, plus their love for children, Kyra & Dayán have made it one of their life purposes to translate the teachings they have learned throughout their evolution into children’s books, so the younger generations can benefit early on in their lives from the wisdom of those who have passed before them. Together they founded Feeling Good Books, with the intention to empower, inspire and provide children with tools that will help them navigate through life. They share a desire to contribute to the growth and well-being of each child and parent out there.

Kyra and Dayán live in Montreal, Canada, with their five children.

Our mission is to spread awareness about the inner knowing and inner wisdom we all possess since birth. Through each book we invite these inner powers to come forth and flourish into being. We believe by teaching our children early on the fundamental truth about life, it will help them to have a brighter and more positive journey.

We invite you to check out every page on this website and begin seeing the world in a different light.
