My thoughts on Little Girl Scream

I generally don’t repeat the synopsis in my reviews, so the following are my thoughts on the actual book.

If you are a fan of the Al E. Boy Fawn series, please note that this series is not in the same genre.

Little Girl Scream will grip you with its fascinating horror storyline. The book opens with gruesome violence, but that sets the tone for the rest of this thrilling tale.

The dual protagonists are Sophia and Dale. They work well together to solve the murders and mysteries. They occasionally show hints of romantic feelings, but that certainly isn’t the focus of this tale.

The authors capture the violence man can commit and the depths the depraved will go to achieve their psychotic thrills.

Like Game of Thrones, do not get attached to any of the characters. No one is safe from evil.

Since I usually don’t read a lot of horror-based fiction, I was a bit slow in getting involved in the story. But once I was invested, I could not put it down.

Sophia tries hard to earn her father’s respect by being the best manager of their family’s luxury Cancun resort. Dale is nearly overcome with flashbacks from the torturous past his mind has hidden. Together, they make a fantastic team.

Just when the gruesome parts of the story came close to overwhelming me, the authors dropped in bits of witty, sarcastic, and humorous episodes to preserve my sensibilities.

There are instances of coincidence that seem far-fetched but actually work well in the story. I think it’s a sign of excellent thriller writing when you can suspend your beliefs and immerse yourself in the book.

I enjoyed Misadventures Memoirs (Little Girl Scream) by Al E. Boy & F. Carod and plan to read the next in the series. Just like the authors are capable of writing fantastic fiction in polar-opposite genres, I find I can equally enjoy reading books entirely out of my comfort zone.

I received a digital copy of the book from the authors to review, but also I read it through Kindle Unlimited. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.
