This delightful story book tells the reader about Apollo’s life before he found his forever home, and explains just how happy he is now: well fed, warm and dry, and with plenty of love. It will quickly become a favorite Christmas tale (maybe even an anytime story?) with everyone in the family, young and old alike!

My Thoughts on Santa Claws

“Santa Claws: A Christmas Tail for Cats” by Denise Alicea is a charming children’s picture book. The main character, Apollo, is a rescue cat who has finally found a loving forever home. Despite his contentment with cozy naps, cuddles, and good food, Apollo is curious about a peculiar tree his humans brought into the house adorned with shiny decorations.

The story takes a whimsical turn when Santa Claus comes down the chimney, sharing his Christmas mission for children. However, Apollo wonders—why isn’t there a Santa Claus for cats? Apollo sets out on a magical journey with Santa to spread the word to cats all over the world about forever homes and rescue missions.

This heartwarming tale blends themes of family, pets, and the joy of Christmas, creating a cozy story perfect for young readers and animal lovers.
