My Thoughts on Justice for the Forgotten
R. Weir’s Justice For The Forgotten: A Steel Wheels Cold Mystery is a compelling blend of mystery and suspense joined through emotional depth. The main focus of the novel involves obtaining justice for people whom the flawed system has deliberately wronged. Donnie Steel undertakes more than case-solving because he seeks the truth to combat powerful forces manipulating justice in an unaccountable system.
The story is more than simple criminal activity as it explores loss and just how obsessed people can become when they want closure. Unanswered questions from these situations combined with unresolved grief move the plot toward its conclusion. Donnie Steel is an inspiring protagonist and Kogel, his K-9 partner, goes beyond being a helper. He symbolizes trust and loyalty.
The fast-moving plot combines well-developed characters and an emotional backbone to create a page-turning tale in Justice For The Forgotten. I highly recommend this book for readers who enjoy complex mystery books about corruption and perseverance.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this fascinating series.
