The Veil Strikes is the second book in the Veil Chronicles series.
Detective John Jefferson started looking into the death of a young migrant woman and got much more than he bargained for. It tipped him off to a disturbing and shadowy organization known as the Saffron Veil, which is involved in the drug trade, human trafficking, cybercrime, and more. Now John's joined a secret task force to ferret out those involved.
But these criminals, driven by greed and a lust for power, aren't going to go down without a fight. All they need is to obtain the Veil's ledger, which will give them the information they need to take down the whole organization. It's going to take everything they've got to get through the Veil's carefully designed defenses.
