My thoughts on Carrie Can Fly Too
Thanks to this book tour, I came upon the enchanting world of “Carrie Can Fly Too” by Ashley and Breanna Bolliger, and I must say, it’s a five-star gem in the realm of children’s literature!
The story follows Carrie, a yellow bird with a big dream – to fly. However, being different from the blue birds around her makes her journey challenging. The narrative beautifully captures the essence of self-discovery, confidence, and the importance of embracing diversity from a young age.
The simplicity of the story is its strength. The authors have woven a powerful message into the fabric of this delightful tale. “Born different from the rest, she was misunderstood from the nest.” These words resonate deeply, teaching young readers the significance of acceptance and understanding.
The vibrant illustrations accompanying the text make this book truly shine. The bright and cheery colors bring the characters and their emotions to life on every page. The visuals complement the narrative and serve as a visual feast for young minds.
One of my favorite features of “Carrie Can Fly Too” is its universal theme. The book addresses the tough emotion of feeling different, reminding readers that diversity is natural and the key to a fulfilling life. It encourages children to embrace their uniqueness and, in turn, celebrate the differences in others.
In a world where instilling positive values in children is crucial, “Carrie Can Fly Too” stands out as a beacon of inspiration. It not only entertains but also educates, making it a must-read for parents and teachers alike. This book has earned five stars from me for its heartwarming narrative, powerful message, and captivating illustrations. A true treasure for the young and the young at heart!
I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.
