Power is not for the weak or faint-hearted.

If Frank, Cas, Gabby, and Anya want to find the next two guardians of the Simbrian and keep them safe, they need to journey across the dangerous borderlands and into the dark and shadowy world of Kzarlac, sworn enemy of Byeland.

Ruled by the fearsome Etamin Dahke, Kzarlac is no place for four naïve teenagers. Keen wits and a large helping of luck are no guarantee they will succeed and return safely.

Driven by their desire to protect the delicate peace that has existed since the time of Kester, their quest is about to take a deadly turn, and the exposure of an unconceivable secret may make Frank regret ever having started.

About Jeremy Elson

eremy Elson Author Profile Image

Jeremy Elson tells us a bit about his life, motivation, and stories.

I was born and raised in Guildford, Surrey, and still, live and work locally.

Over the years, my work has brought me into contact with an abundance of interesting people, some of whom have been the inspiration behind the characters in my book.

Apart from writing, my passions include the outdoors, The Smiths, Chelsea Football Club, and Star Wars Battlefront (apart from when my son comprehensively beats me!)

Although I went to school, I found that most of my education went on outside the classroom. Learning things that I was interested in, away from normal lessons, was far more valuable.

Now I home educate my son – or rather, my wife does.

Don’t let anyone tell you it’s a breeze. It’s the toughest yet most rewarding job anyone can have. It has craft, soul, and emotion. It is undertaken from the heart.

Frank Penny was borne out of my desire to bring to life a home educated child and tell a straightforward and compelling adventure story.

Bringing these together has allowed me to present an exciting mystery to you, of which Frank Penny and the Mystery of Ludlow Hums was just the first in the series. Now Frank Penny and the Kzarlac Spy continues the story. I hope you will identify with him or one of his friends.

Although the Excelsus academy only takes special and specific talents, we must believe that every child is special. Every child deserves the freedom to explore what they like when they like, and for however long they like.

What is the point of your education if not to set you free?
