Peace & Love,

What is the best road trip you have ever taken?

About ten years ago, we took an epic retirement toad trip. We traveled to Virginia, then followed the east coast of the US down to Florida and back up through Tennessee before returning home.
This weekend, we are leaving for a road trip through Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. I am super excited. I’ll try to keep you posted here.

Chelsea Pennington shared a list of what she’s working on next after the recent release of A Gardener’s Guide to Love and Loathing.
A cozy fantasy series! Definitely something different from my usual, but I’m obsessed with this story. I’ve got about 2/3 of a first draft. It’s about the caretaker of a museum in a fantasy city (if you didn’t know, my day job is working at a museum), and it’s just a joy to write. I’m looking forward to getting back to it. *Check out her newsletter for more.*

Have a fun and safe road trip! I don’t go on road trips because I get car sick. I’ve been on bus trips in the past going to Atlantic City and that was fun but I haven’t done that in many years.
Have a wonderful trip, Gina! My favorite road trip was driving out to Colorado back in 1987 — our kids were 4,5, & 7. I purchased a journal in Cripple Creek, Colorado that had been published that year called “Emily French: Diary of a Hard-Worked Woman,” an 1890 journal penned by a 42-year-old divorcee in the Pike Peak’s region. This led to over three decades of research and ultimately ended up guiding me in writing my first historical fiction novel, A SPARROW ALONE, published in 2020.
Enjoy your road trip! 🙌
Thanks, Carol. I’m so excited I can hardly wait to take off. But…I have so much to do yet.
I love road trips!
Road trip memories! Road tripping inspired me to write. It’s all about the journey. Shared!
