Welcome to the Friday Finds for 07-12-2024.
How are you doing this week? I’m having a bit of vacation after the busy, busy summer I’ve had so far. I’m looking after the WI grandkids while their parents are on work trips to opposite sides of the country. We’ve had a pretty good week, lots of book reading, movie watching, and hugs for all of us. I hope your week has been as full of joy as mine!
Peace,
Gina

What are you reading this weekend? Here’s what I’m reading right now.
The Lady Glass (Enchanted Regency Romance) by Anneka R. Walker
Theresia Dvorak has nothing left of her parents except her dowry, a priceless crystal vase stolen and sold by her wicked stepmother. Theresia will do anything to secure what is rightfully hers—even assume a false identity and steal her future back. Her mission is compromised when she gains entrance to a house party and has a memorable run-in with the handsome naval captain Rolland Reese. She swore never to trust an Englishman again, but when he makes a daring proposal she cannot refuse, she must work side by side with him if either of them is to achieve their aim.
(Cinderella re-telling) Do you enjoy a fairytale re-telling? Carol of The Reading Ladies recommended this one to me. She never steers me wrong.

This week’s trivia question is:
Which fruit is often brought to picnics and is known for being seedless and easy to peel, making it a favorite for children?
The answer to last week’s question:
Which band was originally named “The New Yardbirds”?
Led Zepplin. Bonus: Can you tell me how they chose the name Led Zepplin?
