The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn
The inspiration for season two of BRIDGERTON, a series created by Shondaland for Netflix, from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn: the story of Anthony Bridgerton in the second of her beloved Regency-set novels featuring the charming, powerful Bridgerton family.
ANTHONY’S STORY
This time the gossip columnists have it wrong. London’s most elusive bachelor Anthony Bridgerton hasn’t just decided to marry—he’s even chosen a wife! The only obstacle is his intended’s older sister, Kate Sheffield—the most meddlesome woman ever to grace a London ballroom. The spirited schemer is driving Anthony mad with her determination to stop the betrothal, but when he closes his eyes at night, Kate’s the woman haunting his increasingly erotic dreams…
Contrary to popular belief, Kate is quite sure that reformed rakes do not make the best husbands—and Anthony Bridgerton is the most wicked rogue of them all. Kate’s determined to protect her sister—but she fears her own heart is vulnerable. And when Anthony’s lips touch hers, she’s suddenly afraid she might not be able to resist the reprehensible rake herself…

This Farm is a Family by Dan McKernan
In this adorable illustrated picture book for kids written by Dan McKernan (Saved by the Barn), the rescue farm animals at Barn Sanctuary decide to help a cow who is dealing with fear and anxiety in her new home. Children will learn the importance of friendship and compassion, as well as why it’s important to support others during hard times.
Inside this book, kids ages 4-8 will discover:
- A positive message about friendship, kindness, and understanding others
- How to show compassion to others
- Ways of coping with difficult situations, including how to deal with fear and anxiety
- A page with information on Barn Sanctuary and their rescue efforts, with information on ways you can support the real-life animals featured in the book
This Farm Is a Family follows a group of rescued farm animals who are living their best lives at Barn Sanctuary. Each one is eager to meet the newest arrival, Buttercup the cow, and show her all the fun things they can do together. But Buttercup doesn’t want to play–in fact, she doesn’t want anything to do with the other animals. So with a lot of love and understanding, the animals work together to help Buttercup discover she’s part of a new family and can leave her old fears behind.
This Farm Is a Family is perfect for:
- Birthdays, Christmas, and Easter or Passover gifts, as well as back to school reading
- Children ages 4-8 who love farm animals and cuddly creatures
- Teaching young readers kindness and compassion, and that they can make a difference in the world
- Kids who are in a new school, new neighborhood, or new house

Knitting a bag sounds so cool! I wish I knew how to knit
Lots of great things in this post Gina. Thanks for all these shares, I got a new book, some colouring for my grandkids and a recipe. I am a happy grandma.
Thank you so much for including “Back to Grandmom” this week! I greatly appreciate it! The best part is that the cover was just nominated to participate in AllAuthor’s cover of the month contest! People can vote here if they’d like: https://allauthor.com/cover-of-the-month/13175/
What prank did your grandson play on you? I used to love pranking my husband and kids, but they’ve caught onto me and it’s harder to fool them now.
To answer your email question, I do like to enter giveaways for free gift cards as well as books, but it gets to be too much sometimes to enter all of them. There are so many and often times there are so many requirements to follow this and follow that and it just gets to be too much to follow everyone. I can’t keep up.
I have some fun things coming up for children’s book week in May so I’ll keep you posted on those events.
Oh, and thanks for including my spring freebie coloring pages!
You’re the best!
He was eating breakfast at the dining room table and yelled…I spilled my water! I came running from the kitchen with a towel. He just howled with laughter. Congrats on all the good news. I love sharing news from “my authors.”
Lol, you have to admit, that was funny. As long as the jokes aren’t mean, I don’t really mind them.
It was so funny. He planned to pull the same thing on his teacher today. Let’s hope it goes well, or the joke may be on him. Lol
No jokes? Why did the chicken cross the road?
So she could find Gina’s Friday Finds!! Happy April Fool’s Day!
