Run Rose Run book cover image

Run Rose Run by Dolly Parton and James Patterson

From America’s most beloved superstar and its greatest storyteller—a thriller about a young singer-songwriter on the rise and on the run, and determined to do whatever it takes to survive.

Every song tells a story.

She’s a star on the rise, singing about the hard life behind her.

She’s also on the run. Find a future, lose a past.

Nashville is where she’s come to claim her destiny. It’s also where the darkness she’s fled might find her. And destroy her.

Run, Rose, Run is a novel glittering with danger and desire—a story that only America’s #1 beloved entertainer and its #1 bestselling author could have created.

I'm Not Scared by Seth Meyers Children's book cover image

I’m Not Scared, YOU’RE Scared by Seth Meyers

From the incomparable host of “Late Night with Seth Meyers” comes a hilarious new picture book.

When you’re a bear who is easily scared, it’s hard to have friends. Fortunately, Bear has one: Rabbit, who is very brave. One day, Rabbit urges Bear to face his fears and embark on an adventure together. However, things don’t entirely go as planned, and the two friends learn the true meaning of bravery.

Equal parts hilarious and touching, this funny tale of adventure, bravery, and daring rescue will both inspire the adventurous spirit in all of us and make us laugh along the way. With the unfailingly witty voice of one of America’s favorite comedians, Seth Meyers’s debut picture book is bound for hilarity history.

In Love by Amy Bloom book cover image

In Love: A Memoir of Love and Loss by Amy Bloom

ONE OF THE MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2022

Amy Bloom began to notice changes in her husband, Brian: He retired early from a new job he loved; he withdrew from close friendships; he talked mostly about the past. Suddenly, it seemed there was a glass wall between them, and their long walks and talks stopped. Their world was altered forever when an MRI confirmed what they could no longer ignore: Brian had Alzheimer’s disease.

Forced to confront the truth of the diagnosis and its impact on the future he had envisioned, Brian was determined to die on his feet, not live on his knees. Supporting each other in their last journey together, Brian and Amy made the unimaginably difficult and painful decision to go to Dignitas, an organization based in Switzerland that empowers a person to end their own life with dignity and peace.

In this heartbreaking and surprising memoir, Bloom sheds light on a part of life we so often shy away from discussing—its ending. Written in Bloom’s captivating, insightful voice and with her trademark wit and candor, In Love is an unforgettable portrait of a beautiful marriage, and a boundary-defying love.

  1. I hope Mr. James can sell enough books to buy his kids new shoes!
Those mug coasters look really cool!
I was blessed this week with not one, but two 5-star readers’ favorite book reviews! I was so surprised and grateful!

        • Do you mean my reviews? I made a blog post about the first one and I am creating a new blog post for the second review. The reviews will also be going out in their email newsletter on April 1st according to the message I received. Thanks for asking! 😊

  2. Hi Gina,
I would be honoured and would love to be featured as your author of the week. You reviewed my children’s book, The Jolly Bupbup more than a year ago now 😮 ( hard to believe)! Since then I have acquired a literary agent (Dawn Dowdle from Blue Ridge Literary Agency) with 2 picture book manuscripts out for query with various publishers through her, and I have a picture book, CHESTER, THE ^almost PIRATE, due out this July, published through Lawley Publishing ( Arizona).
I hope that you will consider me for this honour.
    Thanks,
Patti Borrmann ( writing as Ann P. Borrmann)
PS. I am going to try that Taco Pasta recipe you have featured. Looks easy AND yummy!
