💬 Reader Contest Question of the Week
I’d love to hear from you!
⭐ High-engagement: What's one thing you've enjoyed more this year than you expected?
🗓️ Contest closes March 1 at noon CST.
If your entry arrives after the deadline, don't fret, it will be added into next month's contest.
🌿 Closing Notes
I’ve been quietly making a few small design tweaks behind the scenes lately — softening colors, simplifying layouts, and trying to shape this into a calm space for readers, somewhere that feels a little more restful to visit.
Nothing dramatic, just small adjustments that better reflect where I am right now. If you notice little changes over the next few weeks, that’s why. I want this blog to feel steady, welcoming, and peaceful — the kind of place you can settle into with a good book and a warm cup of something comforting.
Until next week, my friend!

Hi Gina!
How are you doing? Hope you had a great valentines day weekend. Great to go through your Friday Finds. The 25 piece international snack box seems like a great idea. There are lots to choose from. Yummy!
Regards,
Chika
I know you know about "The Goodreads Challenge," so I won't explain too much, but paring down the type of books I report on there, has really given me a bit of peace. Even though I will read and review all genres, I'm concentrating on Children and Middle Grade books for 2026. I'm enjoying it and it's just what I needed to calm things down a bit.
I'm writing this on Valentine's Day so a happy day to you and yours. Enjoy! <3
What a great plan. It sounds like I’m not the only one looking for more calmness in my life.
I need to eat all the snacks in our pantry before I branch into the international market. 🤣
I've enjoyed self care more this year because I realize it does help. I used to have sauna sessions and dreaded it. Now, I understand that anything I can do to help my health is a must. It is not a chore now.
That is great to hear, Regina! I hope the new calmer look and feel of the blog is helpful. I always look forward to seeing you in the comments!
I didn't think I would enjoy the huge eBook download event with other authors that I participated in yesterday because of the overwhelm of so many books. I did get a little overwhelmed, but it wasn't too bad and I enjoyed interacting with so many new authors.
Have a Happy Valentine's Day!
You too, Jessica. I hope it went well. I'll try to do better at sharing things like that.
