Friday Finds for 4 February 2022 | You Won’t Believe the Fun Today!
Welcome to today’s edition of the Friday Finds. I hope you find something you enjoy in this post.
We are snowed in! It’s been a while since we’ve had a winter storm of this magnitude. Tom shoveled a path out the back door this morning and it’s drifted back up over my waist already. My entire family loves snow days. I miss them being here to have snowball fights, sled, drink hot cocoa, and work jigsaw puzzles. I love seeing pictures of them doing those things with their families now.
Time to move on to the Friday Finds for 4 February 2022. I can’t wait to chat with you in the comments about today’s finds!

NEW YORK TIMES EDITORS’ CHOICE • READ WITH JENNA BOOK CLUB PICK AS FEATURED ON TODAY • In this moving debut novel, two estranged siblings deal with their mother’s death and her hidden past—a journey of discovery that takes them from the Caribbean to London to California and ends with her famous black cake.
Charmaine Wilkerson’s debut novel is a story of how the inheritance of betrayals, secrets, memories, and even names, can shape relationships and history. Deeply evocative and beautifully written, Black Cake is an extraordinary journey through the life of a family changed forever by the choices of its matriarch.

When a book is billed as a Worldwide Phenomenon, it’s high time I get it added to my TBR list!
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe, there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better?

Hi Gina!
Glad to open your email. Thanks for sharing the Snow Ice Cream Recipe. Looked so great! Would try it out.
Keep warm and safe my friend. I am beginning to wonder what a human looks like.🤪 have yarn, books and diapers so I am all set. Have a blessed day.
Good to hear from you. Glad you have your priorities straight! lol
I remember loving Little Golden Books until they fell apart! Great stuff and yes, I love blog comments too, but I’ll also take visitors who don’t comment! Lol
I did not know about the Little Golden Book biographies, so thanks for that. The recipes look yummy as well. I am glad I am in Florida and missed the snow. My kids said they got over a foot which is a lot for us. Enjoy the weekend, Giina.
I didn’t either. They have a huge collection of biographies. I just picked out a few for the post. Hope you enjoy your weekend in the sun!
Thanks for the shout out 💜
