Friday Finds for March 19, 2021
Welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday Finds. It’s been a very productive week. I only lost one day to fatigue, so I’m calling it a win.
The comment contest winner is Debbie McKiver. She will be the featured author in my BookShop for the next week. All comments on this post will be entered into next week’s drawing for a gift card, featured author, or blogger spot. If contests aren’t your thing, you don’t have to accept the prize. This is just my fun way of rewarding faithful readers and commenters. I read every comment and they mean so much to me and my blog.
Authors, don’t forget about BBNYA. Deadlines are coming up soon. Today is the perfect day to enter your book in the competition!
Now on to the this week’s finds. I hope if you enjoy them, you will share this post on your favorite social media platforms. Twitter is my favorite because it’s incredibly supportive of authors and bloggers. I’ve been on a little hiatus from Facebook. If a social media site doesn’t bring me joy, life is too short for me to spend my time there. What is your favorite site?
Friday Finds for March 19, 2021 – Books
The Cotillion Brigade by Glen Craney
Georgia burns.
Sherman’s Yankees are closing in.
Will the women of LaGrange run or fight?
Based on the true story of the celebrated Nancy Hart Rifles, The Cotillion Brigade is a sweeping epic of the Civil War’s ravages on family and love, the resilient bonds of sisterhood amid devastation, and the miracle of reconciliation between bitter enemies.
Popularity Rules by Shamika Lindsey
With Popularity comes a price…
Almost drowning in the struggle to reclaim his identity and to remove all that has been thrust on him, Jason finds himself almost strangled by the grand puppeteer of his popularity. Just before he sinks, he gains insight into what the world outside of popularity’s cushioned forces felt like. But instead of sinking, he burns—slow and torturous, now it’s a race against the clock for all he once knew and for what he was now protecting.

Abacus Counter – Ranger Beads – Hydration Counter – Golf Stroke Counter – Crafting
I know things are changing in the world because my Abacus Counters are starting to sell like crazy again. This means people are playing golf, hiking, and hydrating again. These bracelet/clip-on counters have always been my best-seller. You can tell I’m excited about them again because I ordered a new batch of beads in fun designs. I haven’t ordered new beads in quite a while.

I’m an avid reader and unpublished/aspiring author. I enjoy reading and finding new authors and books. I also enjoyed reading this post about the different kinds and types of books. I’m one of those people who read different books in different genres and try the book at least once to see if I like it or not.
I’m a blogger too. I love reading and writing. Also love to see what other opinions are up to a point. Enjoy reading your posts.
I love to do reviews for authors if they’re willing to send me the print format of the book by mail. I call this a win – win for both sides and request print copies only because I have troubles reading digital books.
My favorite sites are dealing with animals and books and authors.
I choose a book by its cover and excerpt/blurb. Funny but the book cover has to “call to me” to read it.
Hope I Win
Thanks.
Thanks for sharing Crystal. You should check into doing some book blog tours. It’s an excellent way to get started reviewing. Many offer print versions…although, digital is the most popular.
Yum. Easter cake and great books! Wonderful combo. Tweeted.
You are the winner this week, Crystal. Check your email for the notice.
My favorite is Instagram. I get the most engagement from there. Twitter is my second favorite. My Facebook is pretty much dead even though I try to post there a lot.
The Cotillion Brigade by Glen Craney sounds like a book that is right up my alley. Thanks for sharing it, Gina. Have a great weekend.
YAY!🙌🏾
