Friday Finds | January 29, 2021
Hello and welcome!
I can’t wait to hear what’s new with you this week, so be sure when you get to the end, you leave a reply and fill me in.
My biggest news this week is that I opened a storefront on Bookshop. I’m slowly adding the books I have reviewed in the past to my store. I’m finding most books are available to me. If you aren’t familiar with Bookshop, it is a website that allows you to buy online from local brick & mortar book stores. I am super excited about this as I know local shops suffer from reduced traffic during the current troubled times. As convenient as Amazon is, there are drawbacks, and one of those is they take away business from mom & pop shops. Using BookShop, you can search for the book, buy it online, and a local book store will fill the order & ship it to you. As you can tell, I am very excited about using it. I’ll eventually be adding links to all my reviews giving readers a chance to “shop local”!
Now, let’s move on to the regular features.
Friday Finds | January 29, 2021 – Books
There has been an overwhelming demand for children’s book reviews lately. So these books are making their way onto my website. I love kid’s picture books, as well as middle-grade fiction. Not only are they great for reading to little ones, but they also make wonderful gifts and can certainly teach adults a lesson or two. These are the books I received last week. Some are already done, and others will be mixed in with my regular reviews.
Upcoming reviews and books I want to read:
What Now? by Shari Low
The Hill We Climb An Inaugural Poem for the Country by Amanda Gorman
Keep Sharp: Build a Better Brain at Any Age by Dr. Sanjay Gupta
In case you missed it on the blog this week!
It was a fun, eclectic week.
The Lazarus Child by Jay Raven
Mia and Nattie – One Great Team by Marlene M Bell
Grammar rules! Good Grammar is the Life of the Party
White Trash Warlock by David R. Slayton
Love and Ohana Drama by Melissa Baldwin
Merren and the Heron by Tony Dow

I’m interested in reading Sanjay Gupta’s “Build a Better Brain.” I need to make more room in my brain for all the information that is stored up there. Maybe this will help!!
Hi Gina, I hope you are doing well! The book, Mia and Nattie-One Great Team, looks like a cute book! Have a great weekend!
Hi Gina! I think anything Dr. Gupta writes is well worth reading. The new online bookstore is an exciting new thing, and the little sloth kit is adorable!
Tweeted. Thank you for having my book in your “BookShop”.
