The Jolly Bubbup by Ann P. Borrmann listed in Friday Finds | July 31, 2020

The Jolly Bupbup by Ann P. Borrmann

The Bupbup is small and jolly and has lived all her life in the wood field. But a dreadful thing happens in the wood field and the jolly Bupbup goes on an unexpected adventure. Lots of things always happen in the wood field.

The Tech by Mark Ravine | Friday Finds | July 31, 2020

The Tech by Mark Ravine

Special Agent Alexandra Cassidy has made a career of disobeying orders, challenging bigwigs, and asking uncomfortable questions.

What offends her superiors most is that her intolerable antics have earned her one of the best track records in the FBI.

It’s too bad, some cases are better left unsolved.

When Cassidy is transferred to the backwaters of Arizona she finds herself leading a crew with so many black marks on their records, it’s a miracle any of them remain employed. Thankfully, their first case pretty much solves itself. But as Cassidy and her team continue throwing bad guys behind bars, a creeping sense of suspicion grows. The cases are easy, a little too easy, and troubling patterns become impossible to ignore. Then things take a violent turn, and an elusive figure steps forward to help. But in a conspiracy big enough to topple kings, every player has an agenda—and misplaced trust will
have devastating consequences.

A Thousand Years by K.T. Dady | Friday finds | July 31, 2020

A Thousand Years by K.T. Dady

The universe has always worked quite well, thank you very much. However, things can go wrong. Can’t be helped. Anyway, it was only a small glitch. No one even noticed until that woman, Kate Coster, heard her soul speak. Kate had a happy life. She lived on her own, had a job she loved, and hung out with a small circle of friends. She had no idea that something was missing, or rather, someone. The universe knew exactly who was missing. It knew all about Kate Coster’s soulmate, from the past to the present day. Kate was about to get the shock of her life.

Adam by A.K. Stone | Friday Finds | July 31, 2020

Adam by A.K. Stone

Keep him secret, or he will die. That warning was the only thing protecting the child. Why?
He has no parent, and no AI-implant, while the rest of humanity is connected mind-to-mind in the 23rd Century.
He might be the 100th Kinetic – a young superhuman. But there are only supposed to be ninety-nine of them. Where did he come from, and why was he hidden?
Is he human, AI, or something utterly alien?
Among his apparent protectors are those who know the answer to these mysteries – but they won’t stop until their secrets die with him.
Adam only wants what most kids do: a home, to find out who he is, maybe even some friends & family. But forces at work in our corner of the galaxy ensure he’ll be forced on to a journey far more exciting – and dangerous – than he ever could have imagined.

  1. Hi Gina,
The books displayed are all very interesting- especially Adam. Sounds like some sci-fi thriller. Would look it up. The zucchini fritters look amazing and I’m sure they’d taste great too. The mosaic art work are really delightful.
A lovely edition, Gina. Enjoy your weekend.
    Chika.
