“Are We French Yet?” is the most humorous travel guide I have ever read. Keith & Val’s adventures while trying to fit in after moving to Provence are so entertaining.

Friday Finds November 1, 2019 Red drink in clear glass with spider on the rim

I know Halloween is over, but if you are partying this weekend, check out this fantastic drink. Author E. Denise Billups shares her Witches Blood Drink. I think if you swapped a pretty Christmas ornament for the spider, you could fix this for your Christmas party. Oh my, we could keep changing the decorations and serve this delicious drink all the way through Valentine’s Day in February! Denise writes fantastic books as well as a unique blog. I reviewed her book Kalorama Road this year. You should check her site out.

My favorite season is fall so I’m looking forward to trying the recipe for the baked candied sweet potatoes! Sounds delicious.

    Hi Gina,
I read all the way to the end and I think your Friday Finds this week is really cool! My least favorite season is winter, but when I was a kid I loved it! It’s so hard to choose from the others because I love them all. But I will say late spring when we really know winter is over! At my place in the western Columbia Gorge it’s usually high winds and rain, and ice storms in winter, not much snow. Well, here’s to the start of a new week! Hope you have a good one! PS: I like the photos too!

    • Thanks, Laurie, the book covers will definitely be back next week. I’ll include this week’s books again so as not to short-change the efforts of the authors.

  3. Kelli ClarkE

I think I’m going to have to try that candies sweet potatoes recipe! My Father in law left me a bunch after his last visit out to Parke County! My favorite season is Fall and it’s just such a shame we didn’t get to enjoy the mild weather longer!!

    • Let me if you like the sweet potatoes. I hope this cold snap is short and we get some nice fall temps soon.

  4. Pamela

    Can’t believe its November Gina!
November starts a string of months that make up my least favorite season.
In March, I’ll proclaim that my favorite season has begun
As for me, I look forward to the pictures with the book recomendations.
    Have a happy week!
    Pamela

  5. My favorite season is SPRING!!! And I think you should include the book cover in your list of books on your radar. Authors put a lot of effort into designing the cover to represent their story and to grab the attention of the reader. It deserves to be seen and allowed to do its job.

    • I agree with you, Maggie. I think the cover is important to grab the attention of the potential reader. Sometimes, I put to much stock in what the ”experts” say. I need to go with what I know is right for my people. ?
