This Week on the Website – Friday Finds October 11, 2019
I reviewed two incredible fiction books. One is contemporary fiction, the other a historical fiction novel. I highly recommend them both.
First up is The After Days by Amy Ginsburg.
This book almost defies placing it into a genre. Is it a psychological thriller, dystopian fiction, a survivalist tale? I think it’s all those and more. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

Next, I reviewed Then Came Darkness by D. H. Schleicher.
What a dark, gripping, intense tale. An entire family struggles to survive the vengeance of a psychotic killer that has planned his revenge for years.

Recipes of the Week – Friday Finds October 11, 2019
Rebecca from Strength and Sunshine is kind enough to share her recipe for Gluten-Free Pumpkin Mug Cake (Vegan, Allergy-Free) with us this week. She has a lovely website that offers so much goodness. If you visit, please tell her I sent you!
Oven-Baked Salmon: This tender, flaky baked salmon recipe, topped with a parmesan herb crust. A simple, flavorful 6-ingredient dish! Sommer brings this delicious recipe you from A Spicy Perspective.
Since cooler weather is finally upon us in the US, how about a Hearty Brown Lentil and Vegetable Soup made in the Instant Pot/Pressure Cooker. This recipe comes from Meeta at Piping Pot Curry. Yum, I can’t wait to try this one.
What to Make – Friday Finds October 11, 2019
I lost a dear friend to breast cancer this week. I think this wreath is a perfect way to honor survivors as well as those that have passed. This is an affiliate link, I debated removing the link but decided it would be more fitting to leave it in and donate all commissions to breast cancer charity and research.
Now on to happier things. I love this Rustic Wooden Pumpkin Kit. These would go great for fall decor or to give as a gift. Have you been invited to a Thanksgiving Party? Perfect hostess gift!
That’s it for this week’s picks. Please hit reply and let me know what intrigues you the most in today’s Friday Finds. It helps me understand what to curate for you…my valued reader!
All the best my friend,
Gina
