Friday Finds Roundup | March 5, 2021
Hello and welcome my friend. It’s been a whirlwind of a week for me, how about for you?
I received my first covid vaccine on Sunday. I’m happy to report I had no side effects. Woohoo. I hope the second dose goes as smoothly.
Carla won the comment contest last week. She is a prolific reader and blogger. She chose an Amazon gift card as her prize. If you would like to enter the contest, simply leave a comment on this post. You could win a chance to have your book featured on my BookShop, a gift card, or be a featured blogger on the sidebar of my website. I hope you win this week! (Since Carla chose a gift card, I’ll be picking which books to feature in the BookShop this week. Is it your favorite?
Now on to the FINDS!

Murder at Mile Marker 18 by Denise Jaden
An unlucky amateur sleuth, an adorable cop, and a cat with a hunch…
If anyone had told Mallory Beck she would become Honeysuckle Grove’s next unschooled detective, she would have thought they were ten noodles short of a lasagna. Her late husband had been the mystery novelist with a penchant for the suspicious. She was born for the Crock-Pot, not the magnifying glass, and yet here she is elbow deep in fettuccine, cat treats, and teenagers with an attitude, the combination of which lands her smack-dab in the middle of a murder investigation.

I Don’t Respect Your Politics is a non-fiction book created to explain the lack of BLACK respect for American Politics. Robobaby by David Wiesner
In this hilarious gem from triple Caldecott winner David Wiesner, it’s big sister to the rescue when a new baby is delivered to a family of robots and the adults are flummoxed by technical difficulties.
A new baby’s arrival is a big moment in any family, even a family of robots. Award winner David Wiesner captures the excitement and fanfare when baby Flange appears—as a crate full of components. The adults bungle the process of assembling Flange, with catastrophic results. Big sister Cathy, with her handy toolbox and advanced knowledge of robotics and IT, hasn’t been allowed to help, but in the ensuing chaos she calmly clears up the technical difficulties and bonds with her new baby brother. A shout-out for girl scientists and makers, Robobaby is an eye-opening and engaging blend of the familiar and the fantastic.

The book, Robobaby looks cute. Love the fruit rainbow! I was able to add more of my books onto Bookshop and get the covers added as well. I still have to get a few more fixed. Thanks for bringing Bookshop to our attention!
