Friday Finds Roundup | May 14-2021
Hello and welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday Finds Roundup. Let’s start with news and announcements before we get to the finds for this week.
The winner of last week’s comment drawing is Michele M. You can find her on the sidebar of my website for the next week. Please visit her uplifting, Christian website and tell her you found her here. Feel free to share this post with any of your friends that might also be interesting in winning a featured spot on my blog, bookshop, or an alternate prize for those who are not authors or bloggers. All you need to do is leave a comment on this post!
My BookShop will be featuring a random author or genre of books this week.
It has been cold here lately. Let’s hope this was our Blackberry Winter and frost is out of the forecast until fall. I’m ready to get on with spring activities. That said, we braved the chilly temps and attended our first baseball game in 2 years. The Indianapolis Indians are our “local” team (just a 2-hour drive). We found a spot in the sun to sit in the 25% capacity stadium, watched a great game, and of course, had the requisite hotdog, Crackerjack, and beer (McCallister’s tea for me). It was an amazing afternoon!
Now let’s get on to the Finds for this week!
Friday Finds Roundup | May 14-2021 – Books
The Thirteen Gates by Elton Gahr
Magic has been banished from our world for five hundred years.
The day that Nate died, everything changed for Quinn. His long-term mentor had helped him through the death of his father, years of being bullied, and far more. It also changed for everyone else. Nate was a wizard and five hundred years ago had closed the thirteen gates cutting the world off from magic. Now with his death, those gates have opened and magic has returned to the world. Ryan Reaves began writing her debut story at five years old after yearning to return to her brick-and-mortar school during the Covid 19 pandemic. When she’s not writing, she can be found wearing a princess tiara with a wrench in her hand helping her dad work on cars, pretending her house is a roller derby, or choreographing dances to the latest tunes. The mini library/bookstore is adorable!
It is. I may have to find time to try one of these
Fantastic post this week Gina! I can vouch for the Plant-Based for Beginners book. It is amazing. I’m also looking forward to the warmer weather. Today was lovely.
I told Rob about how we both forgot about the mini library I got him for Christmas and now we can’t wait to do it! Thanks for reminding us of it!
If it’s on your blog, it must be true. The world’s best cookies!? Wow!! I’d probably bake them too long or something and they’d only be good at my house. Lol. Tweeted.
Thank you for sharing my Breakfast Sausage & Egg Pizza recipe! ❤️
Thanks for the welcome into your writing home!
I hope you get some lovely spring weather soon Gina!
