Gina’s Friday Finds – February 26, 2021

Hello and welcome to the last Friday Finds of February. The days are flying by. We’re getting ready to start spring chores on the farm. Well, at least planning them. Do you have anything particular you do to mark the start of spring?

Chevron Ross won last week’s comment drawing. He chose to have his book featured on my BookShop. I hope more of you will enter this week. Simply, leave a comment on this post and you will be entered into a drawing for a gift card or a featured spot on the BookShop page.

I’ll be including the link to the Book Blogger Novel of the Year Award page for a while longer. If you are a book blogger, Bookstagramer, or author, this news is important for you. BBNYA is open for author submissions and blogging participants NOW. Don’t miss your chance to work with an awesome group of people, win fabulous prizes, and more.

Now on to the finds!

Sheltered-When a Boy Becomes a Legend by Jacob Paul Patchen Book image -

Sheltered: When a Boy Becomes a Legend by Jacob Paul Patchen

With America under attack from within, twelve-year-old James must fight his way to freedom while trying to hold onto his values and virtue.

“We are all given a space in life to fill, a roaring emptiness in time… and it’s how you choose to fill that void, that will determine the difference in becoming a man or a legend.”

That’s what my father said to me a few years ago before he walked out on Mom, Emily, and me. If I would have had any sense back then, I would have asked him exactly what that meant.

In case you missed it on the blog this week!

    Dear Gina,
Thank you for featuring Weapons of Remorse on the Bookshop page. However, I don’t see a link to it this week on your Friday Finds. Is this an omission, or am I looking in the wrong place?

This is your second year in the BBNYA, Gina? Congratulations! I consider entering my ‘Silent Heroes’ novel.

Big thanks for the bacon wrapped chicken recipe 🙂 It will be appreciated around her 🙂

Have a blessed week further and thank you!

      • Not how to comment to win but I want to comment to enter. I mark the start of spring or at least plan to by planning what flowers I’m going to plant then do it, reading spring books, enjoying the warm weather and sunshine and spend time with my parents. Planting flowers with my Dad is enjoyable and something I look forward each year.
        Please enter me.

P.S. How do I sign for your blog/newsletter so I don’t miss these contests?
        Hope I Win

        • Thanks for stopping by Crystal. You’ve done what you needed to enter the contest by leaving a comment here. Planning & planting flowers sounds lovely. On the side bar (or bottom of the page on mobiles), there is a place to sign up to follow the blog by inputting your email address. There is a separate sign-up that says join the Friday Finds Friends newsletter list. Good luck with the contest! Are you an author, reader, crafter, cook, or all of the above?
