My thoughts on OM for the hOMe

OM for the hOMe is not what I was expecting. I thought it would be another book on decorating your home based on someone else’s plan. We’ve all tried the ” do this, not that” way to decorate and then been left feeling like it wasn’t quite right.

Author, interior designer, and life coach Carrie Leskowitz combines all her knowledge to lead you on a journey of self-discovery. The only way to be happy in your home is if it reflects you and your values.

She teaches by way of examples of clients she has worked with, some successfully, others not so much. You have to be willing to learn more about yourself before you know what values you want to be represented in your home. Her case studies were quite eye-opening for me. I’ve been through several of the phases she speaks of and her words reverberated through me.

I can’t wait to tackle several things about my home that make me uncomfortable. But, I’ll be applying Ms. Leskowitz’s principles to my plans this time. I expect better results than ever before.
