Out of Body: A Magical Misfits Mystery #3 by Lina Hansen | #BookReview #CozyMystery #MagicalMisfits @LinaHansenAuthor @lhansenauthor @LiteraryWander
I recently read Out of Body: A Magical Misfits Mystery by Lina Hansen. As I was writing this blog post, I realized I had not left my reviews for the first two books in the series. I’ll be remedying that soon. In the meantime, here is my review of book three…a little out of order.
Myrtle Coldron, owner of the Witch’s Retreat B&B and leader of the Magical Misfits, enjoys a hike and stumbles upon a skeleton. The unwelcome discovery unleashes a series of bizarre events that shake the quaint village of Avebury to the core.

My thoughts on Out of Body
Set in the mystical Avesbury, England, the site of a prehistoric circle of standing stones, Myrtle and her Magical Misfits gang are thrown into yet another spellbinding mystery.
After Myrtle & her beau discover a skeleton while hiking, strange occurrences plague the area. Of course, it has to be related. It seems there is a curse upon the Magical Misfits coven, and it’s up to Myrtle and her friends to solve the mystery and break the curse before the coven is doomed.
Once again, Lina Hansen delights readers with her imaginative tales and creative, vivid, descriptive writing. The characters are delightfully quirky, making them a joy to meet. The Simpkins sisters are loveable curmudgeons that get straight to the point. And I do believe this is the first time I met a familiar that is a plant.
While this is the third book in the series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone tale. But I bet you’ll be grabbing the first two books as soon as you can.
Everything about this third book in the Magical Misfits series delighted me. It was a most enjoyable read. I found myself smiling at a character’s turn of phrase or action on nearly every page.
Many thanks to Lina Hansen for providing me with a cozy mystery to brighten my day, complete with skeletons.
Unless stated otherwise, all books are from my personal library or Kindle Unlimited.
This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.
