My review – Ellie Everlasting by Isabel Scheck:
Ellie, Everlasting is a wonderfully imaginative tale. There is a lot of crossover between Earth, Neverland, and Heaven. We follow many of our favorite characters from Peter Pan in this delightful tale from Isobel Scheck.
Yes, there is some violence, including Ellie’s murder, which sends her to Neverland where she falls in love with Peter. However, it is not graphic and is crucial to the storyline. The same can be said for the LGBTQ mentions in the book. I like that they present in a simple, matter-of-fact way. The characters are well-written and have a nice depth of emotion.
It’s fun to see the classic characters of Pan, Hook, and Tinkerbell portrayed in modern times. If you enjoy imaginative, current, and classic fairytales, you will love this book.
I sincerely believe this book is suitable for middle grades and above.
