Synopsis from Amazon:
Elizabeth’s daughter, Angelica, has joined a cadre of eco-terrorists, and Mary (yes, the holy one) has abruptly ended her “Operation: Earth Rescue” visitations at Elizabeth’s North Carolina farm. Now Elizabeth must discover her own calling, a passion worth risking her life for. It’s a journey into her own heart, and the adventure she embarks on is as unpredictable to her as it will be to the reader.

My Review: While Earth Still Speaks
The character development in this book is amazing. You can follow the growth, maturation, and determination of the females in this story from start to finish. The author describes her settings so well. You can feel the water on your face and taste the crispness in the air. You can hear the crackle of leaves, and so much more. Step into Elizabeth’s world.
The storyline is believable from the life dominated by male church members to the environmental struggles. I found the pacing good as it moves the story steadily toward its conclusion. Elizabeth’s relationship with her son is heartbreaking. Yet, the development of the mother-daughter bond is touching.
The concept of Mother Mary making random appearances to guide Elizabeth along her path may seem far-fetched, but it falls neatly within the realm of the religious aspects of the story.
I did not care for the short vignettes between chapters discussing the life & thoughts of Mary Surratt.
I believe the heart of this book revolves around relationships, husband & wife, church & families, mothers & children, right & wrong, earth & business. But the ultimate relationship at play in this story is action vs. inaction.
I debated taking one ⭐️ off for the formatting of the Kindle edition but decided I was reviewing the story, not the actual book. Be aware if you read the Kindle, the file size is large, and the print is small.
Overall, the story is captivating and emotional.

No matter where you acquire the books you read, please leave a review. Amazon and Goodreads are the most popular places, and you don’t have to own the book to review it. A review doesn’t have to be fancy or in-depth, a simple “Thumbs up. I liked this book.” will help the author immensely.
