Hi,
How was your week?
Things were fairly quiet around here. The garden is yielding some fall lettuce & onions. The turnips are looking good. They should be ready just in time for cool weather soups.
The rain is over & it is hot again. We even delayed closing the pool since the temps are still hovering near 90.
The Blues at the Crossroads festival in Terre Haute, IN was this weekend. We went with friends on Friday & had a very nice time, but the music was a little less bluesy than I prefer. There was a huge crowd & they were all enjoying it immensely, so it might have just been my mood? Does your mood affect what type of music you listen to?
What to Read
You can find past reading lists here!
The Billionaire Land Baron by Emma St. Clair was released this week. I will admit, it was kind of neat to see my name in the acknowledgements.
My TBR (to-be-read) list is growing almost faster than I can keep up. I have been accused of SABLE (stash acquisition beyond life expectancy) in yarn but I am beginning to think it applies to my books too.
This week I plan to read Jack, a new entry in the Ghosts of Culloden Moor series and Tharaen in the Immortal Highlander series. I love books about highlanders, time-travel , ghosts & immortals….all things Outlander you know.
Jack: A Highlander Romance (The Ghosts of Culloden Moor Book 44) by L. L. Muir
Tharaen (Immortal Highlander Book 2): A Scottish Time Travel Romance by Hazel Hunter
What to Eat
This week on the blog I shared how I make hard-boiled eggs in the Instant Pot. It is my favorite way to make 4 – 24 eggs at once. I will be sharing my deviled egg recipe soon. Will you share how you make your eggs & a favorite recipe?
I use French’s Fried Onions in so many of my recipes. This post has a recipe to make your own. I can’t wait to give it a try.
This week I had a Moscow Mule which left a lot to be desired. In my search for a good recipe, I came across the Kentucky Mule. You know this is on my list to try soon!

What To Make
Check out Ravelry’s Eye Candy: Low Yardage post from September 13th by MaryHeatherB. There are some quick, cute projects there.
Aren’t these adorable. Especially for people who aren’t into pumpkin decorations… (is that really a thing?) Fall leaf candle holders.
Have a wonderful week my friends & keep in touch by commenting on this post, on the website or on my Facebook page.
Let me know what type of crafts, recipes & books you are interested in. I’ll see what I can do to find some links for them.
