My thoughts on Spirituality Healing and Me

Spirituality Healing and Me will inspire all and start many on their own spiritual journeys. The author’s candid way of speaking resonates with truth and feeling.

Some key take-aways for me were:

Spirituality and Religion are NOT the same things.

Be Patient, it’s a process. Changes are made one step at a time.

Accept change.

Be Positive

Resilience is key.

Appreciate what you have.

If you are interested in improving the quality of your life, please read Ilana Estelle’s latest book. She offers small glimpses into her life to show you how to better yours. There are tips from better breathing to building your self-esteem and so much more in the pages of this book.

Overall, I found the book educational and interesting. It offers a different and unique point of view on many issues pertinent to our world today.

I also featured the author’s earlier book on the website.

About Ilana Estelle

Ilana Estelle author Profile image

Ilana Estelle - "Living with cerebral palsy is enormously difficult. But what if you never knew you had it?

This is the incredible story of Ilana Estelle. Born the second of premature twins, an hour apart, from a young age Ilana knew she was different, but for all the wrong reasons. A child of the 60s, Ilana experienced first-hand the way that disability was, so often brushed under the carpet, not spoken about. Her constant physical and mental struggles made her feel isolated, alone, frustrated, and misunderstood… and it took 46 years for her to find out why.

Part memoir, part motivational guide, Cerebral Palsy: a story 'Finding the Calm After The Storm' is Ilana’s open and honest journey from an angry, confused child, knowing something was wrong, not knowing what was wrong, what her disability was, or that there was a diagnosis, to the ‘real’ her – a courageous woman using her experiences and lessons to create inspiring messages about mental and physical health, positivity, resilience and change.”

Interview with Ilana Estelle

In today’s world, how important is social media to the writing and publishing process?

Social media has become the most significant marketing tool and is essential to both the writing and publishing processes and to getting our ‘brand’ out there.

Social media accounts allow us to showcase our work, share posts and content that allows us to highlight ourselves, and our brand. It is important for our brand to get coverage, for others to notice us, for us to notice other people and their brands, and to support one another.

But it’s not just a case of putting your brand on social media and expecting others to pick it up, without putting in the hard work. It’s important to be proactive and to manage social media to your advantage. It is also important to share, like, and retweet other people’s posts and generally interact with others, who share similar interests.

There are several key social media outlets an author needs to exploit and reaching out through social media to a potential market is now easier than ever. This enables you to target a specific audience with common values that would allow them to learn about your brand. Having a comprehensive online presence is a good place to start.

How long have you been using your intuition?

The honest answer is I don’t know for sure. As a child, I was naturally intuitive, but I didn’t know how to use my intuition, or what that was. It’s one of the reasons I remained stuck, unable to move on with my life for many years.

So, if I was to part a guess now, I would say I have been using my intuition for around 25 years. Where my brain doesn’t work, my intuition serves as my eyes and ears for me to be able to function normally in my life.

Is there anything you would change with your writing?

It is because my thoughts are a conversation with the universe that I am happy with everything I write. There is nothing I would change.

My writing has brought clarity into what was a confusing world, around a disability I didn’t know I had. Where I didn’t understand I now have understanding, and where I once struggled to find clarity, I now have clarity in abundance.

My writing has brought a sense of calm and reasoning to a life that I had no answers for. My writing has brought acceptance. If I had my time again, there is nothing I would change with my writing, but I would change some of my life’s experiences. Those have been enormously difficult.

What makes Spirituality Healing and Me unique?

I have been told that my writing is totally original and unique and because I write about my individual experiences from a universal perspective. I have come across many self-help books, but I have never come across a book where the author writes from a universal standpoint, to help us reset our ‘spiritual compass.’

Emotionally, which part of the book was the most difficult to write?

I would say recalling ‘My Story’ has been emotionally the most difficult, although when you write about any of your experiences for the first time and you recall situations and how those experiences made you feel, they can bring back memories and strong feelings that can be difficult to re-live and shift.

Writing from the heart and telling our truth is always difficult, but if the shoe were on the other foot, I am sure others would expect the same from us.

The truth is difficult for anyone to hear. For me experiencing those emotions and finding a place for those feelings, was a key part of the healing process.
