The desert’s beauty awakens something in Spring—its warmth, scents, and stunning sights seem almost magical. But her idyllic getaway shatters when a stalker and a thief target her. Suddenly, Spring’s peaceful escape turns into a fight for her safety.
Enter Jackson, a dashing Federal Air Marshal determined to protect her. But can she trust him? As secrets unravel and tensions rise, Spring must rely on her wits to uncover the truth and fight for what’s right.

Risk being hurt by a nefarious scam or miss out on an incredible opportunity?Spring Sullivan loved teaching her kindergarten students, though the cold, snowy weather in Spokane, Washington, was something she’d rather do without. During her waking hours, she dreamed of warm, sunny days, blooming flowers, and experiencing the Wild West. But while sleeping, horrific nightmares plagued her.
Due to budget cuts, Spring was laid off before the school year ended. After exploring her dismal options, she returned to her parents’ potato farm near Boise, ID. This was not the life she wanted, so she reluctantly accepted the Fantasy Maker’s offer of an amazing vacation—a week of sightseeing in Tucson, Arizona.
She loves the sights, scents, and warmth of the desert until evidence of a nearby stalker and a thief disrupts her joy. But why? No one here knows her. That makes no sense. Jackson, a good-looking Federal Air Marshal, tries to protect her, but not knowing whom she can trust, she wonders about his intentions... for a while.
Is Spring still the naïve potato girl from Boise, or will she outwit the evil and fight for what’s right?

My Thoughts on Spring’s Fling
Spring’s Fling, part of the Fantasy Maker series by Cricket Rohman, is a delightful mix of action and humor that keeps you engaged from start to finish. From the opening pages, you’re pulled into a world where every twist and turn brings a fresh burst of excitement. Rohman’s storytelling is masterful and immersive, with vivid descriptions that make you feel the Arizona desert, the Idaho potato farm, and the attraction between Jackson and Spring.
The story strikes a great balance between humor and action. Just when things get intense, a well-timed joke or funny situation pops up, lightening the mood and making the whole reading experience both thrilling and fun. This careful balance keeps the narrative from ever feeling too heavy while still packing in enough intrigue to keep you flipping the pages.
Even when the story takes darker turns with stalkers and kidnappers, I never doubted that The Fantasy Maker and Martin would keep Spring safe. Their dynamic added a reassuring layer to the plot.
What could make this book even better? Rohman’s talent for writing lovable pets is undeniable. I really wish the coyote pup had a more prominent role in the story. Seeing more of its adventures woven into the plot would have been great. The orangutan was entertaining, yet a little bit sad.
Spring’s Fling is perfect for anyone who loves clean, romantic adventures with a dash of mystery and intrigue. There is no need for a “closed door” in this story. The romance is sweet and clean. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series, and I’m crossing my fingers that Martin’s story will be told soon. He’s such an interesting character, and I can’t wait to see where Rohman takes him next!
