In a celebration of delayed gratification, New York Times bestselling duo Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell give readers a new self-help book for kids that explains why waiting can be wonderful
—and can give you a reason to cheer all year round, from New Year’s Day to Kwanzaa, and all the holidays in between.
Just one more sleep…
Waiting is not easy—especially for children. Often they measure the concept of time in how many more sleeps until the exciting day comes, when there is so much to do, so many exciting things to explore, and so many holidays to celebrate!
In a buoyant book that channels childhood exuberance, Jamie Lee Curtis makes it clear why waiting is worth it. And with Laura Cornell’s bold and humorous artwork helping readers celebrate and appreciate milestones throughout the year, this is a story worth waiting for—and one kids will want to read over and over again.

January 19 Friday Finds – Trivia
Last week’s trivia question had more correct answers than I expected. Batik is the technique of decorating fabric by applying wax and dye, with the wax preventing the dye from reaching certain areas. Commenters with the correct answer (Who am I kidding? Everyone who leaves a comment!) will be entered into the January drawing, which will be held the first week of February.
Here is this week’s question for you to ponder.
In Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude,” what is the name of the fictional town where the story is primarily set?
Newsletter subscribers always get an extra entry by leaving a comment on this blog post.

I don’t read too many blogs but the one about decluttering sounds good. The thing about decluttering though is I should just go declutter instead of reading about decluttering, lol!
The answer to the trivia question is Macondo.
I hope you are staying warm in this cold weather! We had a snow storm here today!
