My thoughts on The New Enchantress

This is the third installment of Sunayna Prasad’s Alyssa McCarthy’s Magical Missions.

I am sure you could read this edition without first reading books one and two, however, there are many references to events that have taken place in the earlier books. I would highly recommend you start at the beginning.

This time young Alyssa is fighting for her life while trying to claim and control her magical powers. She portrays traits that are typical to an early teenager, including being quite annoying at times.

However, I believe the target audience will appreciate a female heroine struggling with many of the same self-doubts and problems they are experiencing.

The pacing seems a bit more ragged in this installment and the phrasing is redundant at times. But then, I am a long, long way from the target age for this story. I may revise this review after my pre-teen granddaughter has given me her thoughts.

If you have read the first two books in the series, I’m sure you will enjoy book three.

I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.
