In her ambitious debut perfect for Sadie and The Hazel Wood fans, Madeline Claire Franklin crafts a gripping exploration of how the world teaches young girls to cage their wildness—and what happens when they claw themselves free.

I didn’t receive much in the way of Indie Author news this week. But I was excited to get this news from Kristie Booker.
Why I Rewrote Blooming Into Life by Kristie Booker. When you’ve finished reading about Kristie’s rewrite, don’t miss her recipe for Mary Ann’s Buttermilk Drop Biscuits
I reviewed “Blooming Into Life” during the early days of my book blogging journey. Perhaps it’s time I reread the updated story and update my review. Just like Kristie, I’ve grown and improved over the years…I hope.

The entries for the Author of the Month have been tallied. L.J. Ambrosio is the winner. Check out my reviews of his books and give him a shoutout on his socials.
Louis J. Ambrosio ran one of the most nurturing bi-coastal talent agencies in Los Angeles and New York. He started his career as a theatrical producer, running two major regional theaters for eight seasons. He taught at over seven universities in America. Over the course of his impressive career, Ambrosio also distinguished himself as an award-winning film producer and novelist.

Weekly Friday Finds | 06-28-2024 | Trivia Time
This week’s trivia question is:
What are the top two genres in popular fiction today?
The answer to last week’s question:
Which famous American folk figure is known for her skills in weaving and promoting the craft in the 19th century?
Sophia Hawthorne, the wife of author Nathaniel Hawthorne. Sophia was an accomplished artist and craftsperson who engaged in various forms of textile work, including weaving, as part of her broader artistic endeavors.
(There were several correct answers. I will accept them all.)

I am still so far behind on everything. Going on vacation for almost three weeks in June is a bad idea. I have so much to still do in the yard, and I am behind on writing reviews and blog hopping. I don’t think I will ever get caught up. My grandkids aren’t old enough to help, yet. I think the top two genres would be romance and thrillers. Have a great weekend, Gina.
That’s awesome that your grandkids help you!
The two most popular fiction genres I think are Fantasy and Science Fiction.
Have a great week!
