The 23 September 2022 Friday Finds are here with a list of book recommendations, a blog roundup, a new Author of the Week, a full fall dinner menu, and a delightful owl craft project.
Hello, my friends & welcome to the 23 September 2022 Fun!
Well, Fall is definitely in the air and in the Friday Finds today. We had about a 45-degree temperature drop from Wednesday to Thursday (when I write this post). Naturally, I made a big ole pot of vegetable soup this morning.
I used more of the last tomatoes, turnips, carrots, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage from the garden. It is nearly time to pull the vines and put the garden to bed for the winter.
We had a fabulous time last weekend at our chili cookout. Lots of family and a few friends enjoyed chili and s’mores over the campfire. The stories were as good as the food. If we had any neighbors, I’m sure they would have heard the laughter! The kids had one last afternoon of swimming, which they appreciated. Most years, it’s too cool to swim in September, but it was a beautiful 90-degree day.
This week’s Finds include a full fall menu for you, plus Indie Author news, book recommendations, and the cutest set of Halloween Owl ornaments to make or gift.
I hope you enjoy this week’s post and be sure you leave a comment below voting for your favorite find of the week.
Peace & Love
Small side note: I’ve been including purchase banners with every book/product that I can. They don’t always show up, so I’ve included alternate purchase links at the bottom of this post. That’s why you sometimes see random gaps of whitespace in my posts. I hope Amazon & WordPress decide to play nice with this feature …soon.

Friday Finds | 23 September 2022 | Books
These are a few of the books that caught my eye this week. Have you read them? Would you like to?
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Wish comes a poignant love story about risking everything for a dream—and whether it’s possible to leave the past behind.
In the course of a single unforgettable week, two young people will navigate the exhilarating heights and heartbreak of first love. Hundreds of miles away, Beverly will put her love for her young son to the test. And fate will draw all three people together in a web of life-altering connections . . . forcing each to wonder whether the dream of a better life can ever survive the weight of the past.

Wrangled by Lilith: A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Stargazer Springs Ranch Book 1) by Remi Carrington
Holy hot flashes! This blue-eyed dream in a pair of Wranglers is the best-looking cowboy I’ve ever seen. Thankfully, I’m immune to his charms.
After nearly 25 years as a trophy wife, my cheating ex dumped me for a younger woman.
Now I’m starting over in a new place with a car, a piddly amount of money in the bank, and an exotic cat.
Oh, and a ten-foot pole to keep between me and any man, even the good-looking, boot-wearing Texan who swoops in to help me.
(Free e-book on Amazon at the time of this post)

Easy Homemade Vegetable Soup from Cooking Classy

Small Batch Crusty Bread from Life’s a Strawberry
While Jessie recommends baking this recipe in a Dutch Oven, she also has a post that offers alternatives. So you can make it no matter what utensils you have on hand.

After a dinner of hearty soup & crusty bread, you need a light, creamy dessert. I think you’ll like this one…if you are a pumpkin person.
10-Minute Pumpkin Mousse from Princess Pinky Girl
