My thoughts on Liam Lion Lost at the Bloomsburg Fair

Liam Lion Lost at the Bloomsburg Fair by

Basic Story:

Eric loves spending time with Liam Lion. He knew his family was going to the fair soon and was excited to show Liam all the neat things he knew would be there.

However, Mommy had a rule that no toys could go on excursions because they could get lost. Liam would have to stay in the car. She reminded Eric of the safety rules to follow if he got lost. Was someone else listening?

Through a series of unfortunate events, Liam Lion does get lost at the fair. But he followed the safety rules and soon met up with the Underground Toy Society members. They used their extensive tunnel system to reunite the best friends.

My thoughts:

I have to say, I really loved this addition to The Underground Toy Society series. The story is cute and compelling. It will be easy for early readers to manage on their own. It should be perfect for ages 3 through 8.

But, an adult should always read this book with the child first to open up a discussion of safety and rules to follow if the child gets lost.

The story is well-written and flows well. Janelle Adams’ illustrations are vibrant and enhance the story.

Grab a copy of this delightful tale today. You won’t be sorry.

I received a digital copy of the book from the author or publisher to review. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.

About Jessica D. Adams

Jessica D. Adams, Author Profile Image

Jessica D. Adams writes children's books about The Underground Toy Society that aim to teach children to love and appreciate what they have, think of others, and hopefully clean their rooms.

Jessica's two daughters are the inspiration for the books, as well as co-illustrators for many of the books. Jessica also wrote a short time travel chapter book, Meeting Grandmom, which is a great story for kids as well as adults to remember or talk about lost loved ones and family history.

Jessica has visions of The Underground Toy Society traveling around the world, with many books being created to help teach children to clean their rooms, appreciate what they have, and think of those who may not have as much.

While the goals of the books are to help kids want to clean their rooms, appreciate what they have, and think of others, there are no guarantees that kids will learn these lessons. These books are for entertainment purposes and individual results may vary.

  1. Gina, I enjoyed Jessica and Janelle’s book, too. I like that you added how to use this book as a discussion for parents and kids to review on what to do when getting lost in a large crowd.
Janelle has done an amazing job with the illustrations on this one and she is turning into quite the budding artist for her age.
    Congrats to all!
