The 7 October 2022 Friday Finds are here with a new Blogger of the Week, Indie Author News, Fall Recipes, New Book Releases, and Halloween Crafts!
Hello, my friends & welcome to the 7 October 2022 Fun! I’m certainly in a Fall/Halloween mood today. How about you? Do you love to decorate for fall or plan themed parties? Maybe you are like my book group and plan to read spooky books all month.
I’m still calculating affiliate income and other sales but will continue to donate the money from another week to the Red Cross for Hurricane Ian victims. If you are on the fence about making a purchase, this is a great time to do a good deed.
I hope you enjoy this week’s post and be sure you leave a comment below voting for your favorite find of the week.
Peace & Love
Note: I will discontinue using Amazon’s Custom banner ads for the time being. I just can’t get them to play nice with my blog. I’ll try it again soon to see if the bugs are worked out. I love how they look, but it’s unfair to authors when some links show up and others don’t. And I spend too much time fiddling with them. Look for the regular vertical ads to learn more about purchasing books/items from Amazon.

Friday Finds | 7 October 2022 | Books
These are a few of the books that caught my eye this week. Have you read them? Would you like to?
Busy Betty by Reese Witherspoon
From Academy Award-winning actress, founder, and bestselling author, Reese Witherspoon, comes Busy Betty, a story about a creative, curious, and exuberant young girl who has big plans and an even bigger heart.
Busy Betty has always been busy . . . even when she was just a baby!
When Betty gives Frank a big hug, she realizes he needs a bath, PRONTO! Her best friend, Mae, is coming over, and Betty can’t have the smelliest dog in the whole world! But giving Frank a bath is harder than she thought and just when everything seems impossible, with Mae’s help, Betty learns she can accomplish anything with perseverance, teamwork, and one great idea.
From Reese Witherspoon comes a smart and larger-than-life character who encourages young readers to celebrate what makes them unique and realize that anything is possible!

Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business.
Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.
And for just a short while, these new beginnings are exactly what Olivia and Lily need. Their paths cross when Asher falls for the new girl in school, and Lily can’t help but fall for him, too. With Ash, she feels happy for the first time. Yet at times, she wonders if she can trust him completely. . . .
Then one day, Olivia receives a phone call: Lily is dead, and Asher is being questioned by the police. Olivia is adamant that her son is innocent. But she would be lying if she didn’t acknowledge the flashes of his father’s temper in Ash, and as the case against him unfolds, she realizes he’s hidden more than he’s shared with her.
Mad Honey is a riveting novel of suspense, an unforgettable love story, and a moving and powerful exploration of the secrets we keep and the risks we take in order to become ourselves.
