Drew Parker’s father abandoned him on his eighth birthday, and he hasn’t thought about him in years. When Drew discovers his father and stepmother have died in a tragic accident, he finds he's now the legal guardian of his two young half-sisters, Madison and Mackenzie. He's on his way to college and not prepared for such a responsibility. His mother refuses to help him, but thankfully he has a Fairy Godmother, a magical, who has spent years helping others to make up for the one she failed.
Singer Seraphina Jacobs thinks she’s finally made it when her second album goes platinum. Then, just before her tour is set to start, photo-shopped nudes of her appear in the tabloids and threaten to destroy her career. With her reputation at stake, her PR team rushes into action.
In a chance meeting, Seraphina makes a poor first impression on Drew. He doesn't recognize her until he wins concert tickets that include meeting her backstage. When Seraphina's manager notices their instant attraction, she capitalizes on it for some PR events. What happens when a staged romance turns into something more?
No matter what Drew and Seraphina feel for each other, their lives are being pulled in opposite directions. Will a little nudge from a Fairy Godmother help them realize what’s really important?

Excerpt from A Fairy Godmother’s Redemption
PR is straightforward, but love is complicated…
Sera stood to the side of the wide ribbon, wearing a white blouse and multicolored silk scarf, holding a ridiculously large pair of scissors.
He winced at the size of the scissors. “You’ve got to be kidding.”
“No. And these things weigh a ton too.”
Drew raised his eyebrow in challenge.
“You lift them.” She handed him the scissors.
“Damn. What are they made of? Osmium?”
Sera shot him a quizzical look. “What’s that?”
“It’s a metal that’s twice as dense as lead. A heavy metal, you could say.”
Sera laughed. “For that corny joke; you can cut the ribbon yourself.”
“I’m not the person all these people—” He gestured to the growing crowd. “—came to see.”
“I was having an off-day.”
“What?”
“The day in the café. I’m not usually such a diva.” She blushed. “The whole photo release thing has been so embarrassing.”
“Look. You don’t have to explain.”
“I wanted to tell you.”
Krista bellowed for Sera.
Sera wrinkled her nose. “Duty calls.”
“Go.”
Sera took a few steps, then turned back to get the scissors. “Oops. I might need these.”
Madison elbowed Drew in the ribs. “She’s pretty. I think she likes you.”
Madison’s words startled him. He’d completely forgotten about the girls. He glanced around until he got eyes on Mackenzie. They deserved better. Someone who knew how to take care of them.
“…and she’s a princess.”
“What are you talking about, half-pint?”
Madison directed a very serious look at Drew. “Cinderella met and fell in love with a prince… so it makes perfect sense that you met a princess.” She looked very pleased with herself. “Now, you need to fall in love.”
Drew smiled ruefully. “It’s a little more complicated than that, half-pint.”
“How come?”
It was a good question. And one that Drew couldn’t answer.

My thoughts on A Fairy Godmother’s Redemption
This lovely fairytale retelling will entertain you with its reverse Cinderella story. The book is a quick read and light-hearted, yet touches on topics of growing up too soon, losing parents, mental abuse, and manipulation.
Please be aware there are instances of underage drinking and some detailed sex scenes. I’m far from a prude, but the sex aspect took away from the tale a bit. I found myself skimming that part to get back to the story.
The main characters are likable and easy to cheer for. My heart ached for Drew as life would not give him a break. From a deadbeat Dad to a disconnected witch of a Mom, life keeps heaping more difficulties on his young shoulders. As a boy who basically raised himself, he feels overwhelmed and incapable when he takes on custody of his two half-sisters, 8-year-old twins. He soon finds love conquers many of life’s problems, especially with the help of Faye, his fairy Godmother.
Sera was believable as a much manipulated pop princess. All she wants to do is sing but believes there should be more to life than the cut-throat music business. The tale has an underlying mystery of who is trying to sabotage her career.
The three fairy godmothers are enchanting in their desire to help people in need, and the many years they wait for that chance is endearing.
I haven’t read the first books in The Magicals series, but I loved the concept of The Fairy Godmothers, Inc. I hope to read more of the series in the future.
I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

This book looks and sound like a great read. Sounds intriguing and like a page turner. Would love to read & review in print format.
What made you choose this title and build upon it and why?
Hope I Win
Thanks for commenting, Crystal. At the moment, my book is only available as an eBook. It started as a short story called Duet at Midnight. When I get extended it into a novel, and linked it to The Magicals series, I realized how integral a role the fairy godmother played and how her past dictated her motivations and actions. The title I choose reflected that and was consistent with previous books in the series. Good luck in the giveaway!
