My thoughts on Arthur Visits the Zoo
Author, Gene Lipen, presents us with another fabulous Arthur, the young explorer tale. Arthur Visits the Zoo is number seven in the Young Explorers series.
While speaking in rhyme, Arthur leads the reader on a trip through the zoo. He visits the penguins to teach us about how their bodies are adapted to their habitat. He’ll tell you about zebras, their diet, and of course, mention their rocking mohawk. Arthur stops by the bear den to watch the cubs frolic and play. He’ll lead you past hippos, rhinos, and elephants too. These extra-large creatures are a hit at the zoo. He teaches us about giraffes, tigers, and monkeys on this educational trip.
Arthur Visits the Zoo is vibrantly illustrated by Judith San Nicolas and even includes coloring pages at the end of the book.
Kudos to Mr. Lipen for keeping this series educational and fun.
