🌟 My Book Review
Clues to You may be set in the present day, but it has all the charm of a 1930s-style murder mystery weekend in a gorgeous Victorian manor house. That backdrop immediately gave me the cozy atmosphere I love in a mystery, while keeping the story fresh and contemporary.
Although this is the third book in the Love in the Comptons series, it reads beautifully as a standalone. I never once felt lost - instead, I found myself pulled straight into the fun, competitive spirit of the murder mystery game and the sharp chemistry between Kate and Max.
The characters are especially well-drawn. Kate and Max feel real and believable, not just romantic archetypes. Their interactions bring humor and warmth to the story, and I loved watching their relationship evolve alongside the twists of the game. I also appreciated the special friendship Kate has with Bella, which added a unique layer of depth and heart to the story beyond the romance.
At its heart, Clues to You is more than just a whodunit. It's a story about friendship, personal growth, self-esteem, and trust - all wrapped up like a gift in a light romance. Claire Huston manages to balance mystery and romance in a way that makes this an easy, enjoyable read perfect for fans of cozy romantic mysteries.
🌟5/5 Stars
Clues to You is a light-hearted, cozy romantic mystery filled with believable characters, witty banter, and just the right amount of suspense. A delightful standalone in the Love in the Comptons series - fun, charming, and absolutely worth the read.
