Hello & welcome to the 15 April 2022, Friday Finds

This week has been a catch-up week. I’ve had so many book review requests and blog tours that appealed to me, that I just might have overextended myself again. But, reading is my jam so I love every minute of it. I’m going to open my book review requests back up because most authors send me a message anyway and all the books sound so good. There is really no sense in having it shut down. I’ll get caught up as I can. But, if I owe you a review and I haven’t sent you a date yet, please reach out. If you are on the schedule, it somehow gets done. Otherwise, I’m a mess at remembering anything. Every aspect of my life needs to be in my planner for me to function best. (I switched to this planner for 2022. It’s working well.)

I’ve also done a bit of knitting and planned a couple of weaving projects. I’m starting to get my Spring mojo going whether it ever warms up or not!

Have a great day and be sure to say hi in the comment section below. That works magic on my stats … and my heart!

My Evil Mother by Margaret Atwood book cover image

My Evil Mother by Margaret Atwood

A bittersweet short story about mothers, daughters, and the witches’ brew of love – and control – that binds them, by the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Handmaid’s Tale and The Testaments.

Life is hard enough for a teenage girl in 1950s suburbia without having a mother who may – or may not – be a witch. A single mother at that. Sure, she fits in with her starched dresses, string of pearls, and floral aprons. Then there are the hushed and mystical consultations with neighborhood women in distress. The unsavory, mysterious plants in the flower beds. The divined warning to steer clear of a boyfriend whose fate is certainly doomed. But as the daughter of this bewitching homemaker comes of age and her mother’s claims become more and more outlandish, she begins to question everything she once took for granted.

  1. Great Friday Finds, Gina!
My favorites are Little Blue Bunny and the dinosaur craft. So cute!
I have some fun author news. I’m integrating my skills as an Occupational Therapist into my author skills and I created a new freebie that goes along with a new product I created.
Here is the link to the freebie: https://onesweetday48.wixsite.com/undergroundtoysociet/post/fine-motor-skills-fun-shape-tracing-activities-occupational-therapy-free-printable
And here is a link to my new product: https://onesweetday48.wixsite.com/undergroundtoysociet/post/fine-motor-skills-cutting-tracing-copying-and-matching-occupational-therapy

Thanks so much for all you do for readers and authors!
Happy Easter to you and your family!

  2. Eve

Fat bombs? Lol. Yes , I tried keto and my cholesterol went through the doctor’s office! Oh that Blue Bunny story looks adorable. Will it make me crave ice cream? Happy Easter Gina!!

  3. I have to write everything down as well! I have a separate planner just for blog stuff and review commitments! I get overwhelmed quickly with the number of requests I get! I also don’t love saying no …so I tend to procrastinate….then the requests accumulate and it gets worse and worse! #bookproblems
