Friday Finds for 29 April 2022 | Book News, Indie Authors, Cross-Stitch, Frito Bars, Potato Cakes, Sheet Pan Meatloaf, Fun Blogs
Hello & welcome to the Friday Finds for 29 April 2022
I hope you enjoy today’s Friday Finds. I know I had a blast searching far and wide for all these goodies.
I’m still impatiently waiting for it to feel like spring around here. I’m afraid this might be one of those years we go straight from winter into summer. Many times that results in running the heat in the morning and the air conditioner in the afternoon. The scrooge in me hates that. I want a real spring with beautiful weather and open windows. But, as my grandkids say,” You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit!” (If you notice, I didn’t say they follow that rule, just that they like to chant it. lol)
Jeanna M won the gift card raffle from last week’s email. It was hidden at the very bottom of the email, so it always pays to read the entire email. If you aren’t receiving the weekly email, you don’t know what you are missing. The sign-up form is at the bottom of every post or from the sidebar.
Have a great day and be sure to say hi in the comment section below. That works magic on my stats … and my heart!

Friday Finds | 29 April 2022| Books
In a bit of a departure from listing books that caught my eye on Amazon’s best-seller list, this week I’m sharing a few books that are on my never-ending TBR. I’ll have reviews of them up as soon as physically possible.

Gemini Divided by Lauren K Roberts – Romantic Suspense Thriller
Songs from the Wood (Olympic Vista #2) by Kelly Pawlik – Sci-fi Thriller

Awe man, I should have mentioned that Children’s Book Week is next week (May 2-8) and I’ll be having fun videos on my two YouTube channels! Oops. I’m not good at planning ahead. Maybe you could mention that I’ll have new videos May 6, 7, and 8 on my YouTube channels to celebrate children’s book week. Here is a blog post where people can find out more details: https://onesweetday48.wixsite.com/undergroundtoysociet/post/children-s-book-week-activities-crafts-and-ideas
As for your email, my favorite spring activities are just being outside for walks.
I track my reading on Goodreads as well. It’s the best way to do so because my eReader is full!
Hi Gina. The only author news I have this week is that I’m offering a Kindle Countdown Deal on Weapons of Remorse. It’ll be 99 cents from May 3-10. Below is the link, if you permit that sort of advertising.
I’m now working on novel number three. I don’t have a completion date, though. Thanks for your cheerful blogs and book reviews. I always enjoy them.

Absolutely! I’ll be happy to share your news. And good luck with novel #3. I can’t wait to read it.
Oh wow! Those potato cakes sound scrumptious and the Frito bars sound awesome too. Spring has unpredictable weather, but hearing all the chirping in the trees is my favorite part of the season. Your blog has so many nice choices of books too, but the chirping distracts me while I read. Lol
Hi Gina – here’s a tidbit of positive author news: I’ve just booked my first book launch (ever!) for all three of my novels — “A Sparrow Alone” and “Muskrat Ramble”, both released during Covid, and the third, “Whatever Happened to Cathy Martin” to be released soon — for 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at Centuries & Sleuths Bookstore in Forest Park, IL.
Oh Mim, that’s fabulous. I’ll be sure to share in case any readers are in the area and can attend. I’ll mark it on my calendar for a second reminder closer to the date. If I can coordinate it, I would love to attend for support.
The world would be a happier place if everyone listened to your grandkids!
It would indeed, Gary.
You’re a busy lady
Thanks for stopping by, Barb. I’m always glad to see you here.
Loved the recipes this week, Gina. I pinned them all. Have a great weekend.
Hi Gina. Scoochie’s Adoption Story is a multi=category winner in the Firebird Book Awards for 1st quarter 2022. That seems like some worthy author news. 🙂
That’s just the kind of positive news the Friday Finds needs. Thanks for sharing, Tom!
