Welcome my friend to the Friday Finds | May 8, 2020!
I’m glad you decided to read the Friday Finds roundup. Today, you will find a slightly different format. This weekly post has grown so much that I am testing different ways to make it more efficient for you while keeping the content you are used to receiving each Friday. Since this is primarily a book-related website, books will always be predominately featured. Recipes and creative projects will still be available in many forms. I’ll be starting with small changes and adjust from there. As always, your input is greatly appreciated. Leave a comment at the bottom with your thoughts.
*Authors, please see the special time-sensitive note for you below!

Realm Journey by Ben Schneider
On an unplanned voyage, Xandar fends off menace from Lady Jia—Queen Miranda’s volatile emissary. While facing fears and desires for the beautiful shield-maiden, Xander uncovers the world’s most chilling secrets in a rousing fight for survival.
Souvenirs of Starling Falls: Book One in the Starling Falls Series by Holly Tierney-Bedford
From the author of Kindle Unlimited All-Star winner, Sweet Hollow Women comes a dark ghost story series about the secrets buried in a beautiful mountain town.
My name is Courtney Shaw. I was twenty-six and my husband Tom was about to turn thirty that summer in 2007 when we moved to Starling Falls, Idaho. Our hearts were full of hope and love. We couldn’t believe our good fortune in finding such a beautiful old mansion to call our own. We thought we’d grow old there in Starling Falls. I guess, in a way, we did.
The Poop Diaries by Abby Ross
They come into our homes. They see us in our most fragile moments. Plumbers are a fixture in our lives. When a toilet clogs, a faucet leaks, or a sewer line plugs, we call those unsung heroes, desperately seeking help. They scoop out our poop and pull underwear, toothbrushes, and cotton balls out of our toilets, doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
On a late Wednesday evening, after my toilet clogged, I asked our plumber to share his top five “greatest hits.” The stories were so hilarious, I had to share them with the world. The Poop Diaries features true stories told by my plumber, and many other plumbers, about the most memorable service jobs they have worked on and the most unique people they have helped.
A Colorful Balloon Ride by Alistar Banks
Let’s learn colors on an exciting ride with Mary and Emily around the county fair with Mr. John.

Friday Finds | May 8, 2020 | Creatives
My thoughts always turn to my large triangle looms in the spring. I love setting up on the back deck and weaving when the weather is nice. My 7-ft adjustable is my favorite.
Dewberry Ridge 7-foot Tri-loom
Large tri-looms are quite versatile. They are generally used for continuous strand weaving. It’s difficult to use them without a stand. I’ve never figured out a comfortable way to weave on the largest while seated, but I love the flow of swaying while weaving on it. I find it so peaceful.
Here are some examples of what you can make on a larger triangle loom. A single strand will make a light airy wrap, while double-strand or thicker yarns will make a heavier cozy shawl. I’ll feature imore about the smaller looms in the future.
