My thoughts on Heart of the Sky
Heart of the Sky by D.H. Willison is a captivating and heartwarming story of courage, vulnerability, and the power of odd pairs to save the day. The book is the third installment of the Arvia series, and it picks up the pace right from the start. The author masterfully weaves a charming blend of whimsy, terror, and heart that keeps readers hooked from beginning to end.
The story revolves around the encroaching threats that have been ravaging the previously bountiful forest and affecting the harpy, mermaid, and tiny human village territories. The land is shaking with tremors, and wild magic storms are wreaking havoc, unleashing freaky creatures from the center of the planet. Amidst all this chaos, a creeping magic ailment is spreading among the harpies, and the fragile peace between them and the humans is on the brink of collapsing.
The main characters, Darin and Rinloh, make an odd yet endearing couple that must rise to the occasion and become the oddest of heroes to save the land. They must summon all their courage to stand against a ferocious mythic monster, but more importantly, they must learn to stand with one who’s at her most vulnerable. The author does an excellent job of creating a world full of magic and wonder while simultaneously highlighting the importance of compassion, empathy, and courage.
Overall, Heart of the Sky is an outstanding addition to the Arvia series that is sure to delight both new and returning readers. It’s a book full of adventure, magic, and heart that will leave you eagerly anticipating the next installment.

This sounds like a feel good thriller, which I’d never have thought went together. Great premise and I bet worth reading.
