How can Mia find happiness?
Lawyer Mia’s picture-perfect dream life in New York is imploding. Her job has become too stressful, she’s exhausted from carrying her friends, and what’s up with her striking, wealthy fiancé?
But when life-changing decisions force her to move to Maine, where she’ll face her often critical father and hard truths about what truly matters in life, she re-discovers a passion of her youth.
What begins as a low moment in her life quickly pushes her to consider what she genuinely wants and leads her down a new path where she must embrace the future and let go of the past.
Will this move help Mia to fix her life, once and for all, and will she finally find true love?

My thoughts on I Don’t Do Mondays! by Colette Kebell
I Don’t Do Mondays! by Colette Kebell is a contemporary romantic comedy novel. Follow Mia on her quest for happiness. It surely won’t be with her arrogant, entitled, wealthy fiance, but where will her adventures take her? Delightfully fun and quirky friends play havoc with her determination to be a snob and almost steal the show in the process.
I Don’t Do Mondays! by Colette Kebell is billed as the story of Mia. However, it’s truly an ensemble story. The cast of characters claims a large portion of the book with many overlapping storylines.
The first half of the book sets up the various plot lines, and it’s interesting to see them come together. While Carleton is the most despised of the bunch, Mia actually is fairly unlikeable too. The money-making schemes from Ginger are quite comedic and make for some hilarious conversations.
By the second half of the book, Mia has started her turn around to become a better person. She becomes more likable as the book progresses. The story is ultimately about understanding, forgiveness, and growing up. It doesn’t hurt to see a specific character get his comeuppance.
Toward the end of the book, I didn’t see how all the storylines could possibly be solved in time. I feared a cliff hanger and sequel we’re coming. However, the author wrapped everything up nicely without it feeling overly rushed.
This story will appeal to readers who enjoy varied characters, including LGBTQ couples. It includes a wide range of topics such as law, art, social media icons, and fashion.
I received a review copy of the book. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.
