My thoughts about On the Road to Love by Melissa Baldwin

Wouldn’t we all love to connect with feuding old friends and take an 18-hour road trip together? Hmm. Maybe not, but Melissa Baldwin makes it work in the first installment of her “Love in the City” series.

After being blindsided by a divorce, Stacey decides to road trip from her home in New Jersey to Florida to visit her parents. In a strange turn of events, she invites her long-lost friends along for the ride, not realizing they have been on the outs for years.

Hilarity ensues as they struggle with repressed feelings, frequent bathroom pit stops, and barroom flirting. Once they arrive, we add in the romance when Stacey meets the former boy next door that tormented her youth.

Can the girls’ makeup and survive the return trip? Will Gavin win over Stacey? Will Greg, the obnoxious ex-husband, throw a wrench into Stacey’s new-found confidence and plans?

Please read this fast-paced, fun romantic comedy to find the answers to all these questions and more.
