The world outside is a myth. All that remains is Strand’s great Tower. An entire world’s worth of ecosystems and infrastructures crammed inside one segregated pillar.
Strand’s rules are simple. The more you can contribute to what’s left of humanity, the higher you climb. Everyone must contribute. This is a problem for Quincy Famino.
A gorgeous Christmas romance to put a smile on your face and a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart. So make yourself a cup of hot chocolate, grab a cookie, and snuggle down with this fabulous festive romantic comedy.
Join Hattie and Jo as they head to Southern Ireland to open Boomerville Manor, a holiday retreat for guests of ‘a certain age’. There’s Irish craic and shenanigans aplenty for the colourful cast of characters as everyone gathers for the grand opening. Meet Melissa, an ex-cabaret singer running from her abusive husband, and Bill, a bachelor bullied from beyond the grave by the ghostly voice of his mother. Along with local bobby Harry the Helmet, ageing aquatic team the Boomerville Babes, eccentric artist Lucinda Gray, and heartthrob Finbar Murphy, they gather in Ireland and the fun begins. But murder is in the air and there’s mischief afoot. Will the residents get more than they bargained for at Boomerville?
Set in the beautiful Irish countryside, ‘Boomerville at Ballymegille’ is a heart-warming story of friends
Born into a wealthy and powerful Boston family, Renee Charlebois has it all. Except for one small detail – she’s been abducted without a trace. Who took her, and why, is a mystery. The case gets dropped on Curtis Westcott’s desk, but Boston’s Chief of Homicide has little to work with. No clues, no body, no motive.
As Curtis and his crew peel back the layers they are convinced Renee is still alive, but that her abductor is on a precise schedule and has every intention of killing her. It’s a bizarre and twisted game, and time is quickly running out. A Killing Game is Book One in the Curtis Westcott series, set in Boston.
Mr. Travagline displays his superior skills in penning this story. He builds a post-apocalyptic world with intricate detail. Gnocchi Gleeman tells the story of how this world came to be through his many bard’s tales. You would expect to be confused by stories within stories, but it all makes exquisite sense.
A Haunting at Havenwood by Sally Britton is a charming, romantic story. It’s a quick yet satisfying read.
The witty dialogue between Ras and Louisa keeps the romance light and fun. When you add in lost treasure, two entertaining ghosts, and many minor characters to cheer or boo, you have a winning book.
Even if you don’t normally read fantasy books, give this one a try. It is well worth the time you invest in reading for the entertainment as well as a glimpse into the realm of possibilities.
