The 02 September 2022 Friday Finds are here with a new Author of the Week, Tomato-Talk!, Book Recommendations, Keto, Apple Fritter Bread, Pollo Con Queso, and a Canvas Painting
Hello, my friends & welcome to the 02 September 2022 Fun!
I planned to change the Friday Finds images today to something more fall-like…but it’s a steamy 90 degrees here, and I am just not feeling the fall vibe yet. For those of you that love pumpkin spice, it’s your time, baby! When I went to the store this week, you couldn’t make a move without running into pumpkin spice something.
It’s tomato canning time here on the farm. We now have an entire pantry full of diced tomatoes, juice, and salsa. I will probably finish the stragglers up with some pasta sauce. It’s all going to taste so good over the winter.
We usually finish off the garden by picking the last veggies and throwing them in a big ole pot of soup that we simmer over an open fire. Family and friends always love that party.
Do you have a garden or access to a farmer’s market? Let me know what your favorite farm fresh produce is.
I hope you enjoy this week’s post, and be sure you leave a comment below voting for your favorite find of the week.
Peace & Love

Rock Gods & Messy Monsters by Diane Hatz
Rock Gods & Messy Monsters is one woman’s search for herself among the blood-soaked walls, dangling body parts, and alien-hatched explosions inside Acht Records.
Hailed by Kirkus Reviews as a “fast-paced, entertaining comic treat” and “the best kind of absurdism” from the Independent Book Review, the book is a humorous, fictional satire about discovering self-love.

Thank you for featuring me as Author of the Week. I’m over the moon!
Also, I simply love your Friday newsletter. It’s a great way to end the week.
Aww, that’s so nice of you to say. I’m glad you enjoy the Friday newsletter.
I love tomatoes but our garden didn’t do well this year. It was too hot and too dry for the seedlings that I started too late. We got some cucumbers but no big tomatoes. We got a few cherry tomatoes. I think only one pepper plant survived but the peppers aren’t growing that great.
Thank you so much for reading/reviewing Liam’s book! From losing my job and a poor veggie crop, your review really helped make my hard work with the book worthwhile this year! Thank you!
We were just the opposite, Jessica. Our cucumbers were so bitter, we ended up pulling out the vines. But, the tomatoes did well in the drought. I really enjoyed Liam’s story. I hope others do too.
We’ve had 100* all week and expecting 100+ this weekend……so we’re not ready for fall!
Me neither. Even though it’s hot as blazes…I’m not a fan of fall.
💯 summer girl! Give me flip flops, popsicles, swim parties, balmy evenings, ice cream, peach shakes from chic Fil a, and gardening! 🙌
Ooh. I’ve never tried a peach shake. It just sounds like “summer”.
Run to your nearest chic fil a to get one before the season ends!
