The 2 June 2023 Friday Finds are here with a new Author of the Week and a big, BIG announcement!
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to reach out to each one of you personally because I consider every blog post reader, newsletter subscriber, and follower to be a dear friend. Over the years, we’ve shared family news, heartbreak, and joy, creating strong connections along the way. That’s why I want you to hear my latest announcement directly from me.
Starting today through September 1st, I will be taking a hiatus from the Friday Finds. Preparing this post requires a lot of time and effort throughout the week, and many times other important posts and projects get put on the back burner.
I do have book tours scheduled to share with you in the month of June I also owe reviews to several authors and publishers and hope to get caught up on those this summer.
The 2 June 2023 Friday Finds issue will be the last one until fall. However, please know that you can still reach me via email at ginaraemitchell@gmail.com, through the contact form and comments on the website, and on Twitter (@ginaraemitchell) as long as that platform remains viable.

I have formed many cherished friendships throughout my blogging journey, first as a fiber artist and then as a book blogger. I do NOT want to lose touch with any of you, so I hope you’ll continue to share your news with me whenever possible.
I won’t be disappearing completely, but I feel the need to devote some time to other projects and, honestly, recharge my batteries. I hope you will continue to visit the blog and interact with me and each other during this newsletter break.

Mark J. Engels is an accomplished author whose literary journey has been a joy to witness. His latest work, Werecats Emergent, caught my attention with its captivating storyline. Mark explores the modern-day struggles of an ancient clan of werecats torn apart by military forces across three continents who seek to exploit their lethal abilities in this novel and his upcoming Forest Exiles Saga series.
Mark’s childhood passion for trains and electronics paved the way for his successful career as an electrical engineer. With a specialization in designing and commissioning signal and communications systems for railroads and rail transit agencies across the United States, his technical expertise shines through in his writing. Inspired by beloved anime, manga, and anthropomorphic fandoms, Mark ventured beyond rail industry trade magazine articles to delve into novel-length fiction.
As an active member of Allied Authors of Wisconsin, one of the state’s oldest writing collectives, and the Furry Writer’s Guild, an esteemed community dedicated to supporting and promoting quality anthropomorphic fiction, Mark has found a nurturing environment to hone his craft.
While Mark’s roots lie in Michigan, his family now calls Wisconsin home. Nestled close to the Great Lakes, he finds inspiration in the beauty of the region. Napping by his side during his writing sessions is his beloved dog.
