My thoughts on The Pryce of Conceit
The Pryce of Conceit” by Kari Bovee is an engaging historical fiction novel that combines elements of mystery, ghostly encounters, and humor. Set in 1885, the story follows Arabella Pryce, a talented theater performer who finds herself framed for murder after arriving at a haunted hotel in Colorado.
Bovee’s writing is well-crafted, and her descriptive prose immerses the reader in the atmospheric settings of the story. The author skillfully blends historical details with a touch of the supernatural, adding a unique flavor to the narrative. The inclusion of a mischievous cryptic ghost as Arabella’s ally in her quest for innocence adds an intriguing twist to the plot.
