Do you ever wonder what happens to socks that get lost in the dryer?

Through their fun-filled day, they’ll discover the sights, sounds—and even the tastes—of Chicago, all while encountering a few surprises along the way!

I always enjoy reading Lori Orlinsky’s books to my grandchildren. Even though I’ve resided in Illinois most of my life, I learned a lot of new facts about the big town to my north.

Children will love to learn about Sue, the biggest T-Rex, and other displays at the Field Museum. And how exciting to travel to the top of the Willis Tower. It will always be the Sears Tower to me. Lefty and Righty also teach kids about The Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, water taxis, and Navy Pier, just to name a few!

The illustrations by Kenn Vidro are brightly colored and tell a story all on their own.

This book will be treasured and reread for years. It belongs in every library, whether a family, church, school or daycare.

I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

About Lori Orlinsky

Lori Orlinsky is a multi-award-winning, best-selling children's book author who lives in Chicago. Lori is certified by the CDC in Bullying Prevention and Response Training and is an ambassador for the PACER's National Bullying Center.

At 5"1, she wishes her book "Being Small (Isn't So Bad After All)" was around while she was growing up. Other books by Lori include "The Tooth Fairy's Tummy Ache" and "Balloons for Tiger."
